BUNGY JUMPING
With living in the bungy capital of the world. I had to take part in the experience before I leave in 2 weeks time. I thought what the hell and splashed out 300 bucks to do the Trilogy which includes:-

Kawarau bridge 43m - Worlds first bungy site. This was my first ever proper bungy unless you include the Canyon swing as a bungy as its pretty similar except theres a huge 300m arc swing.
My jump was damn scary stepping onto the platform and then the countdown and go for it. The operators calculated the length of hte chord very carefully so I got a good dunking in the river 43metres below, only up to my waist though. Awesome first jump and an immediate hangover cure after last nights crazy drinking session.

Nevis 134m - Formerly the worlds biggest bungy - This was the big one and the one that everyone talks about, The jumps in between 2 large canyons above a small river/gorge below. Its a pretty good setup with cables running bewteeen the 2 canyons with a big jumping platform in the middle. This jump was huge with freefall for a few seconds. Just as good as the first jump.

The Ledge 47m - Queenstowns urban bungy thats directly above the town at the Gondola. Me and Barney first of all did the 5 luge rides which were good fun. This time I didnt get a final warning although I tried my hardest to trash the carts. Good fun though.
This is the only bungy where you can take a run up and do any style you want. I just opted for a straight forward run and a leap of the edge. Great fun but not as good as the other 2.
The bungys are definately worthwile doing if you ever come to Queenstown although they certainly know how to charge for Photographs. I opted for a DVD of my 3 jumps which is a great idea apart from the $65 charge.

Jus wanna fly in the Red bull Pitts special stunt plane next weekend and then Ive done everything I want to do here in Queenstown.
